There is a smug calm latitudinarian Christianeese infiltrating the Christian church in these diverse times. It is these, so called, Christians who cannot affirm what God says about Himself because, however explicit God was, we are too intrusive and arrogant to assert God is entitled to act according to His Word. With a cool smile and an almost kindred kindness, savy benedictions are extented void of any real content. If the content of our concern doesn't rise to the heights of our concern then our concern may be illigitamate. Just the same as any concern that the moon will fall to the earth tomorrow may not be a legitamate concern in lieu of the natural order of things. However chill and calming our demeanor, if our affirmations accommodate our own clever bent and our own pequilar concern void of biblical affirmations, we will inevitable fall into error. God has spoken. If God has spoken we are obligated to observe what He has said. The implications and entailments are far-reaching, incomprehensible, and mysterious; however, God has communicated what he has chosen to communicate that His will might be accomplished. We are not asked, "Do you think what God has said is cool?" If there is a God and if He has spoken we are obligated to listen and obey. This generation thinks it is so clever. The age old cry has gone foward again, "Hang up the old hat of biblical authority and call everyone your brother." I don't think that is a loving thing to do, especially because we have cared more about a so called "ecuminicity" than the truth. May God help us!
